I. The aims.
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
Practice reading a text and understand the details and talk about jobs.
Ask and answer about a girl in the picture.
Talk about Song’s family.
Telland write about their families.
II. Contents.
- Vocabulary : - engineer : kỹsư
- doctor :bácsĩ
- nurse : y tá
- Grammar :+ Review: How many.............?- There is/ There are..........
+ New structure: What does he/ she do?
- Skills: Listening, speaking, writing and reading.
III. Techniques.
- Group work, pair work & individuals.

1. Warm up: “Kim’s game”
Aim :To help students remember how to use “There is…. / There are …” and review the previous vocabulary.

- Using the picture to ask students to remember and say.
- Showing the picture in front of class.
- Asking students to look at the picture to remember anything in there, then use structure “There is…. / There are …” to describe the picture again by their memory.
Ex : There is a lamp in the picture.
- Limiting the time, about 2 minutes.
- When the time’s up, call 2 students to say anything they can remember. Who can say more answers is the winner and give them bonus mark.
- Checking their answer and correct them.
- Looking at and remembering anything in the picture to describe.
- Saying anything they can remember to take bonus mark from teacher.

Aim :To prepare learners for what they are going to read.
