FARM ANIMALS
Period 1

Lesson 3: Match

1. Preparation
- Pencils or crayons.
2. Procedure

 Warm up
- Ask the children to listen to the animal sounds and guess what animal it is. For
example:
- Teacher: Miaow, miaow. What is it?
- Children:It'sacat.

 Do activities
Activity 1: Match
- Ask the children to open page 29, Eduplay Friends 3A (Pupil's Book). Let the
children say aloud the animal words and count the number of each kind of
animal.
- Guide the children to use a pencil or a crayon to match the numbers with the
animals corresponding, then say aloud the animal words.
For example: Six cows. Seven ducks.
Activity 2: Q & A
- Ask the children to make two lines. The first line children point to the animal on
the page and ask: How many…?,for example: How many cows?the second line
children will answer the number of the animal, for example: Six cows.
- And vice versa, which means the second line children point to the animal and ask,
the first line children will answer.
- Take turn to ask and answer until the last animal.
3. Wrap up
- Say goodbye to end the lesson.

Period 2
1. Preparation

LESSON 4: Making animals by clay

- Different colour clay.
2. Procedure

 Warm up
- Ask the children to stand up and make movements or sounds accordingly to the
words the teacher will say.

 Do activities
o Step 1: Divide the children into groups of 5. Give each group a box set of
colourful clay.
o Step 2: Talk with the children about the colour and animal they like. For
example: I like cat. I will make a yellow cat. Then ask the children to make the
animal they like by clay.
o Step 3: When the children finish, ask a few ones to stand up and talk about their
clay animals. For example: This is a dog. It's white and yellow. I like a dogs.
3. Wrap up
- Ask the children to put the clay animals they've made on the table and count the
number of each animal kind. Say goodbye to end the lesson.
