the locations of each of the school rooms and
explain how to get there.
 What can you see in the picture?
- Elicit the missing words in the speech bubbles
and write them on the board. Get students to
say the completed sentences.
- Put students in groups of four to ask for and
give directions in a school. Go around the
classroom to offer support where necessary.
- Invite some pairs to practise asking for and
giving directions in a school in front of the
class and correct their pronunciation where
necessary.
- Give encouragement to the students'
performance.
* FUN CORNER AND WRAP-UP (5
minutes)
Game: “Lucky flowers”
- Tell students how the game is played. Give an
example.
- Divide the class into two groups.
- Have each group stand in a line.
- Prepare some flowers with pictures and points
on their backs from 1 to 20 and put them in a
box.
- Have two students from each group pick a
flower. Then let one student ask the question
and one student answer the question about
asking for and giving directions in a school.
e.g. Student A: Could you tell me the way to the
computer room?
Student B: Go upstairs.
- Get corresponding points for his / her group.
- Continue with the other students.
- The group that gets the most points win.
Praise the winner.
