and write them on the board. Get students to say
the completed sentences.
- Put students in groups of four to ask and
answer about students' abilities. Go around the
classroom to offer support where necessary.
- Invite some pairs to practise asking and
answering questions about students' abilities in
front of the class and correct their pronunciation
where necessary.
- Give encouragement to the students'
performance.
* Preparation for the project
- Tell students about the project on page 39.
- Ask students to prepare for the project at
home by carrying out a school club survey and
asking their friends about their abilities. Set up
groups of four or five to carry out a survey.

- Draw students' attention to the picture in
Activity 3. Ask questions to help them identify
the characters and activities.
 What can you see in the picture?
- Elicit the missing words in the speech bubbles
and write them on the board. Get students to say
the completed sentences.
- Put students in groups of four to talk about
abilities and lack of abilities. Go around the
classroom to offer support where necessary.
- Invite some pairs to practise talking about
abilities and lack of abilities in front of the class
and correct their pronunciation where
necessary.
- Give encouragement to the students'
performance.
