LESSON1:GETTING STARTED , LISTEN AND READ
I.Aim
-By the end of the lesson , students will be able to read the text for details ,know about some places Lan went to with a foreign friend and some activities they took part in together.
II.Language contents :
-Grammar : the past simple with wish
-Vocabulary: correspond, impress, pray, worship, mosque , mausoleum
III.Techniques:
- Multiple choice, brainstorming, comprehension questions.
VI. Teaching aids :
- A cassette, pictures.

Teacher’s and ss’ activities
Content
T. has ss tell famous places in Viet Nam .Ss tell
them.
-T. observes.
-T. has ss look at the pictures , then has ss name each
picture.Ss name them.
-T. corrects.
-T. has ss work with a partner about a foreign pen pal
is coming to stay with them for a week ,what they
would do during the visit, then T. gives examples.Ss
take notes, then practice in pairs.
-T. observes.
-T. presents the lesson. Ss listen
-T. presents new words, reads them twice. Ss listen .
-T. has ss read the words aloud. Ss read them.
-T.presents and explains grammars. Ss listen .
-T has ss look at their books , then T. plays the tape.
Ss listen and look at their books.
-T. has ss work with a partner in five minutes, read the text,then choose the correct option to complete sentences. Ss work in pairs.
-T. has ss give anwers. Ss give them.
-T. corrects. Ss copy the anwers in their notebooks.
-T writes the questions on the board , then T. has ss
answer them . Ss listen, then answer them .
-T. observes, then marks .
