I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and correctly pronounce
the vocabulary for hobbies: singing, drawing, dancing, swimming, reading, cooking,
riding a bike, playing football. Ask and answer questions about one's own and others'
hobbies using: What's your hobby? - It's (singing). and What's his/her hobby? - It's
(drawing)..Recognize and correctly pronounce the sounds of the letters “ee” (in see) and
“ea” (in read). Sing the song "My Hobby is Drawing" and say the chant with the correct
rhythm and pronunciation.

identifying hobbies and asking/answering questions about them.

play it. Four students hold different flash cards
(Flash card 1: swimming, Flash card 2: drawing;
Flash card 3: dancing; Flash card 4: singing).
- Invite four students to the front of the class to
demonstrate how to play the game.
- Teacher shouts out “swimming”, the student
with the swimming flash card steps up and shows
his / her flash card to the whole class.
- Repeat the procedure with other flash cards. If a
student fails to show his / her flash card or shows
the wrong flash card, he / she is “out” of the
game.
