partner and then check answers as a class.
Write the correct answers on the board.
- Play the recording the third for the students to
double-check their answers.
- Extension: If time allows, play the recording,
sentence by sentence, for the class to listen to
and repeat the dialogues. Correct their
pronunciation if necessary.

with Sentence e. Ask the class to act out the
exchange.
- Give students time to do the activity
individually. Go around the classroom to offer
support where necessary.
- Get students to swap books with a partner,
then check answers as a class. Write the correct
answers on the board.
- Extension: Invite pairs of students to stand up
and take turns acting out the matched
exchanges.

elicit the names of the three colours in the
middle: red, blue, yellow.
- Use crayons or paints to show students what
happens when you mix red and blue. Explain
that this third colour is called “purple”.
Write “purple” on the board and model it for
students to repeat. Repeat the same procedure
with red and “yellow” (orange), “yellow” and 
“blue” (green).
- Have students complete the colour sums.
Check answers together as a class.
- Praise students if they do the exercise well.

Game: “Tic-Tac-Toe”
- Tell students they are going to play the game
“Tic-Tac-Toe”.

- Draw a grid with 9 squares on the board.
- Teacher uses flashcards to ask:
+ What colour are they?
+ What do you do at break time?
+ May I (go out)?
+ Is this our (school)?
- Have students in each group choose a square
and listen to the question from the teacher, then
answer correctly.
- The first group to get 3 of the marks in a row
(up, down, across, or diagonally) is the winner.
- Praise the winner.
