I. Objectives
1. Knowledge. By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- use adjectives and comparison of adjectives and adverbs correctly
- use common phrasal verbs correctly and appropriately
* Content:
- Vocabulary: Review
- Grammar: Comparison of adjectives and adverbs
- Skills: speakingand writing
2. Ability.
- Ss will be able to use the lexical items related to the city and pronounce correctly.
3. Attitude.
- Students love and pride of country.

Activity 1. (6’)
Aim: Ss play games to get ready for the topic
- Storm words: adjectives to describe the city life
Activity 2(17’)
Aim:Ss can give form and know how to use comparative of adverbs and adjectives
- T may help Ss recall the forms of comparisons and have them give examples
- T asks ss to work individually. Check their answers as a class
- T helps ss study the REMEMBER box. Give explanations if necessary. Ss give more examples
Activity 3 (18’)
Aim:Ss can use the grammar and apply in sentences.
- Ask Ss to recall the phrasal verbs they have learnt in Unit 1
to set up
to look forward to
to find out
- Tell Ss to look at the conversation in GETTING STARTED again and find and underline the phrasal verbs.
- Have Ss study the REMEMBER! box. Let them recall some other phrasal verbs they may have learnt.
- Ss do this task individually. Ask Ss to read and underline the correct particle.T may ask them to write down the phrasal verbs in their copy books. Call on some Ss to read out their answers. Correct their mistakes. Explain to them the meaning of these phrasal verbs in the sentences.
Activity 4. (4’)
Aim:Ss summary content and are guided to study at home.
-Repeat the main points in the lesson.
- T gives out the work and guides ss to prepare for the new lesson.
