A.Objectives:
1. Knowledge: By the end of this lesson , Ss can :
- Know something about Britain, English.
- The structure of the textbook and some ways to learn English.
2. Skills:- Train students skills in listening, speaking ,reading, and writing.
3. Attitude: -Encourage pupils’ passion for learning English.

T. gives some pictures to introduce them with sts.
I.Britain
It located in North-west coast of Europe with very mild weather not too hot but not too cold.
It consits of four parts: England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
It’s offical name is the UK
Each part has its own flag of UK.
There are many interesting things of England and you’ll gradually know about them in the pregress of learning English.
II.The structure of the textbook
It includes 12 Units.
Each Unit has parts such as getting started, a closer look 1, a closer look 2, communication, skills 1, skills 2, looking back & project.
After every 3 Units, there are 2 lessons called “Review”.
There is a book map at the beginning of the textbook and a glossary at the end of the textbook
III. Introduce how to learn English
- Learn by heart Vocabulary and new structure.
-Do exercices in workbook and reference books.
- Prepare for next lessons in textbook.

English is used all over the world in every aspect of life.
It’s the international language of every fields: communication, trade, economic, cooperation......
English is not too difficult but it requires you working hard.
Sts need learn by heart all vocabulary and their usage.
Review the lesson everyday.
Learn English everyday….

Period 2 UNIT 1: MY NEW SCHOOL
Lesson 1: Getting Started
A.Objectives:
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to understand the dialogue on page six and use some expressions in the conversation, some school things.
2. Skills:+ Listening: Listen to the conversation among Phong, Phong’s mum, Vy and Duy; listen to a poem.
+ Reading: Read the conversation and then do true/ false exercise and find the expressions in the conversation.
+ Speaking: work in pair to create short role- play with the expressions.
+ Writing: Use a model poem to write a poem about their partner.
3. Attitude: To teach SS to work hard, love their school and friends.
