Lesson 1 : 1 – 2

I.Objective: By the end of the period,ss will be able to :greet and respond to greeting formally using "good morning,good afternoon,good evening.nice to see you again".
II. Language focus:
- New word: Morning, afternoon, evening.
- Structure: Good morning/ Good afternoon/ Good evening/Nice to see you again.

1.Warm up
- Get ss sing the song "How are you?"again.
- Play the CD a few time for ss listen and sing the song.

2.Look,listen and repeat
- Tell ss that they are going to learn to greet and respond to greeting formally
- Have them look at the 4 pictures to discuss the context in which the language is use.
- Ask them questions such as " Who are they? Where are they? and What are they talking about?
- Play the recording a few times for pupils to licten and repeat.
- Play the recording again for them to listen and say along

3. Point and say
- Tell ss that they are going to practise greeting and responding to each other formally by using Good morning,good afternoon,good evening"
- Have them look at the pictures to understand howthe language is used in diffrent contexts.
- T give out the model
- Ask them to say the phrase chorally nad individually.
- Tell them to practise greeting and responding to greetings in pairs,using the prompts in the bubbles.
- Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the pictures.
- Call a few pairs to act out in the front of the class.

- Have ss look at the pictures to identify the similarities and different between pictures.
-Play the record a few times.Ask ss to listen and tick the correct pictures.
- Get ss to swap their answer before they check as a class.

- Give them a few minutes to look at the pictures and guess
