I./. Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students can:
Extend and practice vocabulary related to “Tet”: things, activities and practices.
Identify and practice the language of intentions (with will‘) and advice (with ‘should’).
Get to know New Year practices in some other countries.
II./. Content.
Vocabulary: items related to the topic “Tet”
Structure: Will to express intentions, should/shouldn’t for advice.
III./. Teaching aids.
- Book, planning, picture, laptop, projector …

Class organization.
- Greeting.
- Checking attendance: 6E2

I. Warm up
Activity 1.
T. asks Ss to look at the pictures of the children and talk about the name of the countries they come from.
II. Pre - reading
* Vocabulary.
T. elicits words from Ss.
Rub out and remember
* Guessing
T asks Ss to read the statements and guess who the statements refer to.
III. While- reading
Read the text and correct.
- Ss words in groups read the text and say who the statements refer to.
Task 2. Test your memory!
T. divides class into two groups and play game: “Who is faster”
T. has some paper of task 2.
Ss read and run to the board and stick the things which appear in the passages in column 1, and stick things don’t appear in column 2.
T. corrects.
IV. Post-reading
Speaking.
* T. asks Ss to work in pairs. And talk to friends and say which one you will do or won’t do this new year.
- Ss work in pair in 3 mins.
- T. calls some Ss to show the places.
V. Homework.
1. Look at the picture and talk the name of the countries in the paragraphs.

2. Wo is chinese, he is from China.
3. Mai is Vietnamese, She is from Viet Nam
