1. Objectives: -By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the lexical items related to the topic “My neighborhood”.
Use adjectives to compare things.
Talk about different places and show directions to these in a neighborhood
2. Language contents:
- Grammar: The simple present, Comparative adjectives.
- Vocabulary: the lexical items related to the topic “My neighbourhood”.
3. Techniques: Group-work, Listen and answer, Chatting, Gap filling, Individual , Pair work
4. Teaching aids: -Textbook ,book, planning, picture, laptop, projector …
5. Time: Allotted 45 minutes

I. Warm up

T. hangs the picture on the board and ask Ss to play in two groups to ask and answer the way to the places in the picture.






Lead in:
- Do you like your neighbourhood?
-> To know how to give a direction and describe your neighbourhood. Let’s continue to learn Unit 4 ,part Skills 2.

* Pre listening.
- Ask Ss to guess the missing words.

- People are kind and friendly.
- Delicious food such as:
roasted pigs, roasted ducks..
- Many kinds of good fruits such as : mandarin oranges, sugar apples..
Dislike:
-The weather is too cold in winter.
- The streets are narrow and old.
+ Post writing: Task 5: Write a paragraph about your neighborhood
Eg
I’d like to tell you some good things and some bad things about living in my neighborhood. ………
