LESSON 1: GETTING STARTED & LISTEN AND READ
I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to understand about environmental problems ; use new words about environmental problem in the correct way.

- Vocabulary: garbage dump deforestation dynamite fishing spraying pesticides conservationist disappointed
- Grammar: Conditional sentences type 1
III.Teachniques:matching, pair work, group work
IV. Teaching aids: pictures, cassette, colored chalk, ruler, books.

1.Warm up : (8mins)
T: show the pictures and give a situation.
Sts: match ther environmental problems
To the pictures.
T: explain some new words.
Sts : listen – repeat – copy down
T: guide sts to work in group to match these above environmental problems to the pictures in the text book

T: give the feedback
2.Pre – reading :(13mins)
T: give the poster of statements on the board and guide sts to work in pairs to predict and match the names in column A with the task in column B.
Sts : do as directed
T: comment.
3.While – reading : (17mins)
T: play the tape again and let sts to check what they have just done.
T: guide the feedback.
T: guide ss to ask and answer in pairs.
Ss: work in pairs.
T : comment, and give feed back.
T: explain the structure quickly.

T: guide ss to talk things that people do to protect the environment.
