Warm up:
T asks Ss to look at the pictures and answer the questions: “What are they doing?”
T introduces the text.
Pre reading:
T introduces some new words.
Ss practice new words in chorus and individually.
T asks Ss to read the statements and predict True or False.
Thirty years ago in Viet Nam , a lot of people had TV sets .
These TV owners were very popular .
The neighbors gathered to watch color programs in the evening .
Now, they don’t spend much time together.
A few people have TV sets today.
While reading
Ss listen and repeat after T.
Ss read the text in silence to check their predictions.
Some Ss give the answers.

Post reading
T asks Ss to read the passage again then find the words to complete the summary.
Ss exchange the results with the partners .
