I. OBJECTIVES:
- Knowledge: Students will know about vocabulary and grammar such as:
*Grammar: present simple and past simple tense. Times have changed.
*Vocabulary: TV owner, gather, sleep, change, might, not … any more
- Skills: Reading, speaking, listening skills
- Attitude: Ss will be able to know about TV in Viet Nam thirty years ago and now, and the neighborhood in the past and at present.
II.PREPARATION:
- Teacher: Textbook, lesson plan, colored chalk.
- Student: Textbooks, workbooks and notebooks.

T: Calls SS go to the board to write some new words
Ss: Remember and write it carefully

+ Do you like watching TV?
+ Do you have one at home?
+ What about your neighbors?
+ What about ten years ago/thirty years

Ss: Listen and answer carefully
T:Introduce new part
*Activity 1:
T: Introduces the content of the text
Ss: Read the text silently
T: Explains some new words
Ss: Write and repeat the new words many times
T: Asks Ss to read the text again and complete the summary
Ss: Complete the summary with their friends in pairs
T: Calls some Ss read the answers before the class and gives correct answers
