GETTING STARTED + LISTEN AND READ
I. Objectives
1. Knowledge, Skills, Attitude:
a. Knowledge:
- By the end of this lesson, Ss know about the famous celebrations around the world, practice reading comprehension skill for details to complete a table.
- Vocabulary: Related to celebration.
- Grammar: Relative clauses.
b. Skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
c. Attitude: Ss will be able to educate about celebration.

II. Preparation
1. Teacher: lesson plane, book, color chalks, pictures, MP3
2. Students: books, notebooks, pen, ruler …

- T asks Ss to make a list of famous celebrations they know.
- T calls two teams, each team has 3 members (each member must write down names of celebrations as many as possible. The team has more correct words will win.)
- T introduces the topic of the new lesson: Celebrations.

2. Knowledge formation activities (36’)
- T introduces the requirement of part 1.
- T has Ss look at the icons and then match the icons with the names of the celebrations they represent. (Ss work in pairs)
- T calls some Ss to give the answers on the board.
- T checks and corrects the answers.
- Ss copy down the correct answers.
