I.Aim:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to describe and ask-answer about the weather and seasons.
II. Language contents:
1. New words: season weather spring summer autumn
fall winter.
2. Structures: What’s the weather like ?
It’s hot/ warm/ cool/ cold.

-Ss answer.

1. Warm up:
-How often do you play soccer ?
-How often do you go to the library ?
-Do you go to the zoo ? How often.


-T says and describes the gesture.
-Ss guess its meaning.
-T hangs pictures.
-Ss observe and give the season and says: It’s hot.
-T points out pictures and says: There are four season in Vietnam and calls them to guess its meaning.
-Ss give its meaning.
-T reads them.
-Ss repeat after (chorally) and play “matching”
-Presents structures:

St1: Is it hot in the winter ?
St2: No, it isn’t. It’s cool in the fall.

-T gives exercises for each group to disscuss.

4.Production:
Group 1+3: Draw a picture in each box to show typical weather
Group 2+4: Write the questions
When’s it’s cold, he goes sking.
When’s it’s warm, she goes visit her grandma.


5. Homework:
-Learn by heart new words about the seasons.
-Practice “What’s the weather like in . . . ?”.
-Do exercises in WB/ p.108 (A1, A2).
-Prepare: A3 (New words, pictures).
