I.Aims:
- To help students understand the dialogue for detail about making plans for a vacation abroad.
- To develop students’ skills.
II. Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to be know how to use the present continuous with “always” to give complaint.
III. Ways of working: T-WC, pair work, individual work.
IV. Materials: - Textbook, pictures in the textbook on page 111,cassette & tape.
V. Anticipated problems:
- The activity “word cue drill” may be difficult for students in class 8C.
VI. Teaching steps:
1. Warm up: (1 minute) * Teacher greets and checks the students’ attendance.

- Students match the names of the countries with the appropriate pictures / flags.
- Ask Ss if they know what 3 first pictures are:
a) Statue of Liberty
b) The Opera House
c) Royal palace
* Chatting:
- Students talk about the country they would like to visit. (pair work)

* Pre-teach vocabulary:
- Teacher uses techniques to teach students new words.

* Set the scene:
Mrs. Quyen and her husband are going to the USA for a vacation. Mrs. Quyen is phoning her friend, Mrs. Smith, to tell her about the trip.
* Pre-question:
- Students predict the answers to the pre-questions.
* Listen and read:
- Students listen to the tape while they are looking at their books and check their predictions.


- Students practise reading the dialogue in pair and then complete Mrs. Quyen’s schedule.





- Teacher elicits the model sentences.
