PREPARE BEFORE THE TYPHOON COMES
Typhoon is one of the natural phenomenon. The scientists can predict when it happens. However , it sometimes happens suddenly so preparing well before the typhoon comes is very necessary and practical. For me the things we need to do before typhoon comes are.
Firstly, we should buy some canned food and some candles and matches because when typhoon comes the market will be closed and no food will be available and there may be a power cut.
Secondly, we should fill with buckets with water because when typhoon comes, the water pipes may be damaged.
Nextly, we should fix the leak in the roof and tie the roof to the ground and pegs and ropes and check the windows and door latches because when typhoon comes it will be rainy and windy.
In conclusion, preparing before the typhoon comes is our duty if we want to have a good life in areas where disasters often happen.
FATHER’S DAY OR MOTHER’S DAY

This morning I just learned a lesson about father’s Day. It was really interesting. In Vietnam, however, people do not celebrate. Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. In my opinion. It’s necessary to have a day to celebrate for mom and another for dad.
There are lots of reasons for celebrating these days but the main reasons are the children will have a special day to express their feelings , their memories and their love to their parents. In addition , we’ll have an opportunity to enhance family traditions as well as a chance to get members of families together in order to bring them closer.
I think Sunday is the most suitable day for celebrating . It is free from work or study.
It’s not necessary to have parties but it’s a good idea to have lunch or dinner with all family members. In this special day, children should serve their parents with food they like best and offer them flowers, cakes or special gift and cards.
I believe my idea will be supported and the day for our parents will be celebrated nationwide someday.

In Viet Nam, People do not celebrate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. You think it is necessary to have a day to celebrate for your mom and another day for your dad.
In my opinion, it’s important to have a day to celebration our parents. These days are chances for children to express their feelings, memories, love and attention for their parents, to enhance familytraditions and to bring all family members closer.
I think the second Sunday of May is suitable because Sunday is a day off, everyone is free. It is a good idea to have lunch or dinner with all members of the family. We should give our Mother or Father flowers, greeting cards and special gifts. We should
cook the food that they like best.
I believe that the idea will be supported and the days will be celebrated nationwwide. Because everyone loves parents and wants them to be happy.
TET HOLIDAY
According to our traditional custom, the Tet holiday is the Lunar New Year Holiday – the most important holiday in Vietnam. It is around late January or early February, depends on each year. We celebrate three days beginning of the new year, the first day of new year marks the beginning of Tet .
Although there are three days which are the main days of Tet but we usually start to prepare much time before. There are many things to do such as clean and redecorate our houses, try to pay all our debts or everything we borrowed before the Tet, buy new clothes and presents for our relatives...
On this special occasion, everybody wants to return to their families, where they grew up. The people, who are married, manage to take their families to visit or stay with their parents. There is a funny thing that people try not to sweep their house during Tet, because they believe that sweeping means put the good luck away. We forget all the troubles in past year and hope for a better new year.
We spend time visiting our relatives, friends, colleagues and go to pagodas or temples to pray health, happiness ans success for our families.
People usually say “the First Day is Father’s Tet, the Second Day is Mother’s Tet and the Third Day is Teacher’s Tet”. Tet is time to hold get-together parties.
