I. Warm up :(5 minutes) ( Hiền)
- T calls 2 Ss to describe their friends about “Describe about your friend:name, age, address,
school, class, appearance,character
-Ss answer then T corrects.
II. READING (25 minutes)
Activity 1.Look at the advertisement above and answer the questions.(Khanh)
-T sets scence to introduce new words
-T uses different techniques to teach vocabulary (situation, realia, translation .....)
- Ss repeat in chorus and individually
- Ss copy all the words
- T has Students read the advertisement about Superb Summer Camp and discuss the two
questions in pairs:
1. Who is the Super Summer Camp for?
2. What can people do at this summer camp?
- T may have to explain some words / phrases before having Ss do this activity (e.g. hands-on:
obtained by doing something, not by reading or by watching other people doing it; leadership:
the position of being a leader; field trip: a visit made by students to study something away from
their school, etc.). Invite some Students to give their answers.
- T asks for Ss' answers.
- T confirms the correct answer to Question 1 and 2
Activity 2. Read the text and write T (True) or F (False). Correct the false statements.(Van)

- T sets a strick time limit to read .
- T observes and help when and where necessary.
- T asks Students how to do the exercise.
- T instructs them to do exercise again if needed (e.g. reading the sentences, underlining the key

Activity 3.Work in groups. Read about the three students below. Is the Superb Summer
Camp suitable for all of them? Why or why not? (Luyen)
- Ss look at the advertisement for Superb Summer Camp again and underline the requirements
for the Students if they want to join the camp (e.g. betwenn 10 and 15 years old; all in English,
etc.) and the types of activity students can do at the camp.
– T asks Students to read the information about the three students Mi, Nam and Vy. Instruct Ss to
underline the features of each student and compare these with the information stated in the
advertisement.
- T asks them to work in groups and decide if the Superb Summer Camp is suitable for these
students and explain why. Invite Students from different groups to share their answers.
- T calls on some Students to describe.
- T checks their pronunciation and intonation.

1. The camp is suitable for Mi because she can use English. She can also develop her creativity at

-Teacher divides the class into 2 teams and asks them to think of the vocabulary they have learnt

- In 2 minutes, each member from each team has to take turns to turn over one card and try to
find a card that matches it.
- If the two cards match each other, the team gets one point.
- If the two cards are different, put them back in the same places, facing down.
- The team with more points will win the game.
