- Có thể thêm các chữ sau đây trước so sánh bằng để làm rõ nghĩa hơn: exactly = just, nearly=
almost, hardly, twice, three times…
- I am exactly/just as tall as you. / - I am twice as heavy as you.
- Ho Chi Minh City has four times as many people as Bien HoA.
- Example :
 I'm as good in Maths as in science.

- Có thể dùng với BY FAR, THE SECOND, THE FIRST ……trước so sánh nhất để nói rõ về sự
chênh lệch giữa đối tượng đứng nhất với các đối tượng kháC.
- This is the longest river in the world./ - She is the most beautiful girl in my class.
I am the least surprisedD.(Tôi ít ngạc nhiên nhất)

ADJngắn er (+ than)

( S + V + (Adj/Adv) + “-er” + than )

More + ADJdài (+ than)
( S + V + more + Adj/Adv + than )

- Nhấn mạnh sự hơn nhiều bằng cách dùng "much/far/a lot, many, greatly, a great deal, " hoặc
hơn ít bằng cách thêm  "a bit/a little/slightly" trước hình thức so sánh.
I am taller than you by a head = - I am a head taller than you.
- I am 2 kg heavier than you.
- Khi so sánh hơn kém giữa 2 người hoặc 2 vật mà không dùng than, muốn nói đối tượng nào đó là
tốt hơn, giỏi hơn, đẹp hơn,… thì trước tính từ và trạng từ so sánh phải có the. Chú ý phân biệt
trường hợp này với trường hợp so sánh bậc nhất (khi có 3 đối tượng trở lên). Trong câu thường có
cụm từ of the two + noun, nó có thể đứng đầu hoặc cuối câu
- Harvey is the smarter of the two boys./ - Of the two books, this one is the more interesting.
Of the three books, this one is the most interesting.
