I. OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know more kinds of hobbies and then talk about their favorite hobbies.
a. Vocabulary: unusual, occasion, a piece of cake…..
b. Grammar: the present simple and gerund

3. Attitude: encourage students to be aware of choosing a hobby.

- Set the scene: Mi is visiting Nick and Elena’s house. They are talking about their hobbies. Listen and answer:
What’s Elena’s hobby? About Mi? About Nick?
- Play the tape once and then call Ss to answer.
- Play the tape again to check the answers.
- Provide some new words and explain the meaning.
- Read out the words and ask Ss to repeat in chorus.
- Call some SS to read out the words.
- Ask Ss to work in groups of three and practice the dialogue.
