SPEAK + LISTEN
I. Objectives
- By the end of this lesson, Ss talk about events / things that may / might occur on other planets and listen to the description of the moon and check the correct statements.

b. Skills: Speaking, listening, less reading and writing.

1. Warm up (5’)

Do you think there are water, gas, plants, mountains, minerals, … on other planets.
2. Knowledge formation activities (36’)
-T explains the requirement and introduces new words.
-Ss give the meanings of new words and practice reading new words.
-Ss take notes.
-Ss practice the dialogue on page 85 in pairs.
-T calls some pairs to roleplay the dialogue before the class.
-T explains the requirement of part b.
-Ss make new dialogues in pairs.
-T calls some pairs of Ss to roleplay the dialogue before the class.
-T corrects students’ mistakes if necessary.
-T asks, Ss answer the question.
3. Speak.
* Ss talk about events / things that may / might occur on other planets.
*Pre-speaking.
a. There are drawings of things a space-tourist to Mars saw noted down. Try to guess and match the drawings with the words in the box. Then practice the dialogue with a partner.

b. Make up similar dialogues about the drawings, using the cues in section a.
