UNIT 13: WHERE’S MY BOOK ?
LESSON 2 : PART 1,2,3

Class : 4A, 4B
Date of teaching: 24/2/2017
I. Aim: By the end of the lesson,Ss will be able to practice asking and answering questions
about the location of things in the house (plural).
II.Language contents:
a.Vocabulary: near, table, wall, behind
b.Sentence pattern: Where are the chairs? They`re near the table.
c. Skill: listening , speaking and writing.
III.Techniques: rub out and remember, asking and answering
IV. Resource and teaching aids:
- Resource: Book page 20.
- Teaching aids: Cassette, pictures, extra paper.
V.Procedure:
1. Warm-up( 5 minutes)
@Play game: asking and answering.
A- Where`s the book? B - It`s on the desk.
A- Where`s the pen? B- It`s o next to the book.
2. Presentation:(10 minutes)
T explain the new words.
- near (translation): gần - behind (translation): phía sau
- wall (explanation): bức tường - table (picture): cái bàn
- door (picture) : cửa ra vào
* Game: rubout and remember
T review grammar: Where’s the + danh từ (số ít)
Ss listen and take notes.
@ Explain sentence pattern: Where are the + danh từ (số nhiều)
Where are the chairs? They`re near the table.
3. Practice:(13 minutes)
1- Look, listen and repeat (page 20)
- Tell pupils that they are going to asking and answering about things in the room. Give a few seconds for ss to look at the first picture and read the text in silence. Check comprehension and give feedback. Ask ss to repeat the text a few times. Repeat the procedure with second picture.
- Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking.
- Play the recording for ss to listen and say along.
2 - Point and say.
- Tell pupils that they are going to asking and asnwering the question Where are the + danh từ (số nhiều)
- Give a few seconds for ss to look at the first picture and read the text. Teach the new vocabulary and have Ps repeat each of the words a few times. Point to picture a and prompt Ps to say the question and answer. Put the questions and answer on the board and have ss repeat each of them a few times. Repeat the procedure with the remaning pictures.
- Do choral and individual repetition, using the pictures in the book.
- Get pupils to practise in pairs. Check as a class.
