TOPIC 26: LET PLAY FOOTBALL
I. Aims of the lesson
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

PART I. WARM UP (4 mins)

Topic 26: Let play football
PART II. NEW LESSON (29 mins)
1.Vocabulary:
T tells SS that they will revise the vocabulary.
T writes the words randomly on the board. T reads the vocab aloud, SS repeat.
T reads, SS repeat afterwards and read one-by-one. T checks their pronunciation.
Game: Racing board
T breaks SS to two groups, and then asks SS write down the words which elict activities.
T should limit the time to play the game and asks SS take turn to write.
Game: Spelling
T breaks the class into 2 teams.
T read out a word, and then SS have to write the correct word and spelling quickly. There is a mark for the group having a fast answer.
The group have more marks will be the winner
Game: Guessing words
T splits the class into two or more teams.
T encourges SS use the structure to play the game:
A: Do you like football/ baseball?
B: Yes, I do/ No, I don`t.
T calls one student from a group to elictthe word by using actions. The other groups will ask the actor a question: "Do you like ...........?" If the actor say "Yes, I do", that groups will have one marks.
Each group take changes to describe the words to the competetors
The winnerwill be the group which has more marks than the others.
2. Practice
T introduces the structure by writing on the board. T guides SS on how to identify this and that.
Let`s play badminton.
OK. Let`s play it./ No, thank you.
T reads, SS repeat three times.
Then T uses the flashcards to help SS practice the following structure:
Let`s play football.
OK. Let`s play it/ No, thank you.
T gives SS two minutes to practice in pairs.
Lastly, T calls up some pairs to speak in front of the class. T checks their pronunciation and grammar.
Listen. Fill the missing words in the conversation.
Hoa: Hello, my name is Hoa.
Loc: Hi, Hoa. My name is Loc.
Hoa: What do you do at break time?
Loc: I play football. And you?
Hoa: I play badminton. Do you like hide-and-seek?
Loc: Yes, I do.
Hoa: Let`s play hide-and-seek.
Loc: OK. Let`s play it.
T gives SS the handout and they spend time finishing the task.
T checks their answers.
