Unit 8: SPORTS AND GAMES
LOOKING BACK
I. Objectives
1. Knowledge, Skills, Attitude:
a. Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, students can remember and use what they have learnt during the unit to help them to do each exercise so that Ss can use that information to complete the self- assessment box at the end of the unit.
- Vocabulary: the lexical items related to the topic “Sports and Games”.
- Grammar: Go, play, do + N/V-ing
b. Skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
c. Attitude: hard, concentrated and active.
2. Capacity is formed and developed for students
- Self – learning capability
- Communicative competence
II. Preparation
1. Teacher: text book, extra board, cassette tape and real objects.
2. Students: textbook, notebook, workbook.

Ss: Work individually. Then compare their answers with a partner.

2. Read the four words in each line. Write the name of the game or sport the four words belong to.

T: Asks Ss use the tenses they have learnt to put the verbs in the brackets in the correct form.
Ss: Work with a partner.

Ss: Do the task individually first. Then they can check their answer with a partner before discussing the answers as a class.
T: Gives corrections. Has some Ss read the whole passage aloud (May be sentence by sentence). The rest of the class should track the text with their fingers as the other Ss read.
