+Warm - up: Guessing game:
-Show the photocopied pictures to Ss; one by one, and ask Ss to guess what country it is.
A. Pre - reading:
I. Pre - teach vocabulary:
-T elicits words from Ss.

-to come over: to come to someone`s house in your car to drive him / her to a place.
-abroad: in a foreign country.

+Set the scene:
Mrs. Quyen is going to the USA for a vacation. She is ringing her friend, Mrs. Smith, to tell her about the trip.
II. While - reading:
I. Complete the grid:
-Draw the grid on the board and have Ss copy it.
-Ask Ss to open their books and read the dialogue.
-Ask Ss to work in pairs to complete Mrs. Quyen`s schedule with the information in the grid on the board.
-T gives feedback.
II. Comprehension questions:
a. Will Mrs. Quyen and her husband stay at Mrs. Smith`s house? Why? Why not?
b. Will Mrs. Quyen`s husband have dinner with the Smiths? Why not?
c. How will Mrs. Quyen go to Mrs.Smith`s house?
