UNIT 10: RECYCLING.
LESSON 5: LANGUAGE FOCUS 1+2.
Period: 65.
A. Objectives:
I.Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able know how to make the sentences in passive voice.
II. Skills: writing.
III.Teaching- aids: Lesson plan and poster.

A. Language focus 1:
-T gives the example:
+break the glass into small pieces.
The glass is broken into small pieces.
-T asks Ss to give the structures.
-T explains the requirement of the exercise.
-Read a guide on how to recycle glass. Look at the instructions, rewrite them in the passive form and put the pictures in the correct order.
-Asking Ss to do the exercises.
-T gives the feedback.
B.Language focus 2:
A famous inventor, Dr Kim, is going to build a time machine. One of his assistants, Hai, is asking him questions about the invention. Complete the dialogue. Use the correct form of the verbs in brackets.
-Asking Ss to do the exercise.
-T asks Ss to go to the blackboard and copy down their answers on the board.
-T gives feedback.
Ss copy down the example and give the structures.
S + tobe + V (P.P)
b.Then the glass is washed with a detergent liquid.
c. The glass pieces are dried completely.
d.They are mixed with certain specific chemicals.
e. The mixture is melted until it becomes a liquid.
f. A long pipe is used. It is dipped into the liquid. Then the liquid is blown into intended shapes.
Hai: When will the project be started, Doctor?
Dr. Kim: Very soon.
Hai: Many people want to see the time machine.
Dr. Kim: Yes. It will be shown to the public when it is finished.
Hai: Will it be built by the end of the year, Doctor?
Dr. Kim: I`m afraid not, but it will be finished before Tat.
Hai: Will it be made by you?
Dr. Kim: No, I need you to build it. When can you start?
Hai: Let`s begin tomorrow.

-T asks Ss to remind the form of the passive voice.
