Lesson 1 Section: A (1-4) My day
I. Objectives:
1/Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Sts will be able to talk about daily routines by using simple present.
a. Grammar: the simple present tense, Wh – question (What).
b. Vocabulary: play games, do one`s home work, every (day, morning, evening)
2/Skills: Reading – Listening – Writing – Speaking
3/Attitude: Sts will
- Know how to use the present simple tense to talk about their routines.
- Know how to do some daily activities themselves.
II. Preparation:
a.Teacher:
- Prepare lesson carefully: (teaching aids, make lesson plan by power point, book, laptop, sound).
b.Students:
- Prepare new lesson at home: (write new words; read text; translate the text into Vietnamese; answer questions).
- Paying attention to lesson seriously, listen to the teacher.

- T shows Sts the pictures, tell them what Nga does and ask them to guess the meanings of the words.

do one`s home work: làm bài tập về nhà
Ex: I do my homework

every morning: mỗi buổi sáng
every afternoon: mỗi buổi chiều
every evening: mỗi buổi tối
- Sts look at the pictures and repeat what Nga does.
- T plays the tape and repeats what Nga does every day.
- Sts listen and repeat.
- T calls on some Sts to read.
Checking vocabulary: Sts look at the pictures and say the activity in each picture in English.
- T sets the scene “Nga is talking about her daily routines”, asks Sts to listen to the cassette and answer: What does Nga do every day?
- T explains the new structure.
Target language: Simple present
Nga gets up, goes to school, plays games, does her homework
- T shows them the differences of the verbs when the subject is the 3rd person singular in the simple present tense.
