I. Objectives
1. Knowledge, Skills, Attitude:
a. Knowledge:
- Students talk about frequency, ask and answer about frequency.
- Vocabulary: Words related to the topic: “Sports and pastimes”.
- Grammar: How often do Ba and Lan go to the zoo?
They sometimes go to the zoo.
b Skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
c Attitude: Ss will be educated about sports and pastimes.

1. Teacher: lesson plane, book, color chalks, pictures, MP3

1. Warm up (5’)

- Ss listen and repeat.

Adverbs of frequency
- always (adv)
- usually (adv)
- often (adv)
- sometimes (adv)
- never (adv)


- T has Ss look at the pictures and recognize the activity in each picture.
- Ss do as suggested, then tell before the class.
- T checks and introduces new words.
- Ss listen and repeat. Then guess the meanings of new words.
- T has Ss read again.
- Ss read again.

- T plays the tape.
- T has Ss read the text in individual.
- T has Ss read the text before the class.
- T corrects Ss’ pronunciation if necessary.
- T explains the positions of Adverbs of frequency
2. Listen and read
* Ss understand the text and know the to use adverbs of frequency.
* New words:
- year (n) : example

Go camping

Ex: They sometimes go to the zoo.
They are never late.

- T helps Ss understand the way to practice exercise 3 and gives one example.
- Ss find the information from the text. Then make questions and answer.
3. Ask and answer
* Ss ask and answer about frequency.
EX: How often do Ba and Lan go to the zoo?
They sometimes go to the zoo.



- Ss ask and answer in pairs.
- T has Ss ask and answer before the class.
- T corrects any mistakes if necessary.




3. Consolidation 4’
T has Ss look at the pictures and talk about Ba’s and Lan’s activities using adverbs of frequency.
