I. Objectives
1. Knowledge : By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Know how to learn English 10 effectively.
- Have some supporting sources.
- Review knowledge about some tenses in English.
2. Skill
- Ss know the requirement of different tests within English 10. Students know how to learn English 10 effectively. Students can find some useful sources to learn English10
3. Attitudes
- Help Ss to be aware of importance of learning English and self – study.
4. Competences
- Develop collaborative, problem-solving and communicative competences.

I.Warm-up: (5 minutes)
- Greeting
- Introduce to the student about the teacher
- Ask student about their name and English knowledge etc.
II. Presentation 1: Revision (Tenses) (20 minutes)
- Remind the tenses and the usage of them.
- Tell students about 7 main tenses in English that they should keep in mind:
1. Simple present: Hiện tại đơn
Động từ “tobe”:
(+) S + am/ is / are + …
(-) S + am / is / are + not + …
(?) Am / Is / Are + S + …?
 Động từ thường:
(+) S + V1 / V(s/es)
(-) S + don’t/ doesn’t + V1
(?) Do / Does + S + V1 …?
Ex1: She (be) ___is____ a student.
Ex2: They (be)________my friends.
Ex3: Lan often (get) ______up at 6:00 A.m in the morning.
Dấu hiệu nhận biết: - always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, rarely, never, every (day, month, year,…),….
2. Present progressive: Hiện tại tiếp diễn
(+) S + am/is/are + V-ing
(-) S + am/ is/ are + not + V-ing

Ex1: My mother is cooking at the moment.

3. Simple Past
Động từ “tobe”:

(-) S + wasn’t / weren’t + …

Động từ thường:

Ex: She told me she was a dancer yesterday.

4, Past Progressive: ( Quá khứ tiếp diễn )

Ex1: She was washing clothes at 9:00 Pm last night.
Ex2: They (have)________ summer holiday at this time last week.
Dấu hiệu nhận biết: at (9:00) last night/week, at this time (last week), in the summer, during the summer, all day, all week, all month, …
5, Present Perfect (Hiện tại hoàn thành)
(+) S + has / have + P.P
(-) S + has / have + not + P.P
(?) Has / Have + S + P.P?
Ex1: I have learnt English for five years.
Ex2: She (not finish)____________ her homework yet.
Dấu hiệu nhận biết: since, for, yet, recently, so far, ever, never, just, already,… this is the first time…
6, Past Perfect ( Quá khứ hoàn thành)

7, Simple Future ( Tương lai đơn)
