PART B: SPEAKING
Objective:
By the end of the lesson students will have:
learnt vocabularies related to hobbies.
practiced making a conversation about hobbies.
practiced speaking in oral fluency and talking about their own experience.
been more aware of the importance of hobbies in life.

Warm - up
(7 mins)
I.Warm up:No Need For Word
- T divides the class into 6 groups (6-8 ss).
- T provides each group with a mini – board and a marker.
- T gives the rules: A student from one group will go to the board randomly. I will show a picture to the rest of the students . The student on the board will face the board and can not see the picture, another members of that group describes the activity in the picture so that the student on the board can understand and write it on the board. No one can say anything.

Playing chess
Collecting stamps
Shopping
Collecting shoes
Reading books
- T lets ss play the game.
- T keeps controlling over the game, gives feedback to ss’ answers and claims the winner.
- T asks ss some questions to lead in the lesson:
What is your hobby?
What kinds of activity do you do in your free time?
Why do we need a hobby? Is it important to us?
Lead – in:Hobby is a way to relax yourself.
Now to explore more about the importance of HOBBIES, let’s move to Unit 13: HOBBIES, section BSpeaking.
- Ss work in group
- Ss listen to the T’s instruction.
- Ss answer some checking understanding questions and play the game.
- Ss exchange their board to other groups to check the answers.

II. Before you read:
Teaching vocabulary:
- T introduces some new vocabulary items:
classify(v) /`klæsifai/ [using simple explanation ]
Ex : Trash is “classified” into 2 group Recycle and Disposal
Name tag (n) /neim-tag/

Ex: Act Of Valors is a movie in action category
Second-hand(adj/adv)/´sekənd¸hænd/ [explanation]
Ex : Nhat Tao is a market which is famous for second-hand electronic devices

- T calls some Ss to repeat the word and corrects their pronunciation.
