PART C: LISTENING
Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will able to:
Review knowledge about Van Cao’s life.
Learn new words related to music.
Practice listening to missing words and specific information.
Time: 45 minutes
Techniques: pairwork, groupwork.
Teaching aids: textbook, board, chalk, power point.

- Ask students to listen to the famous song “See you again”. (2 times)
- Lyrics:
“It`s been a long day without you my friend
And I`ll tell you all about it when I see you again
We`ve come a long way from where we began
Oh I`ll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again
Who knew all the planes we flew
Good things we`ve been through
That I`ll be standing right here
Talking to you about another path I
Know we loved to hit the road and laugh
But something told me that it wouldn`t last
Had to switch up look at things different see the bigger picture
Those were the days hard work forever pays now I see you in a better place
How could we not talk about family when family`s all that we got?
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side

- Asks the students “who is the composer of this song?” “Is he a famous composer?”
- Open the song “TienQuanCa” and ask students “Who is the composer of this Vietnamese song?”
- Transition: Today we will learn about the famous composer of Vietnam – Van Cao.
- Have students brainstorm someinformation about Van Cao.
- Introduce some new words by letting them listen to the song and guess the features of the song.
