- Asks some students to tell what they are going to do this weekend
- Asks others students to go to the board and writes their friends’ plan
- I am going to go shopping with my mother.

Presen-tation
1. Pre-vocabulary.
- Uses some different techniques to introduce the new words
* Checking: Rubs out the meaning in Vietnamese and asks students to fill in again in 2 minutes
- Sts go to the board and fill the meaning in

2. Review the grammar with “ be going to”
- Gives Sts some examples and asks them to tell the form and usage of be + going to
Example:
I am going to see you tomorrow.
They are going to meet you at home.

Language focus Ex1,2
- Asks Sts to do exercise Language Focus 1 on page 25. They have to work with a partner and say what the people are going to do
- Gives an example first.

- Gives Sts answers and asks them to write down to their notebook

- Reviews the adverbs of place
- Makes sure Sts know the meaning of these adverbs
- Asks Sts to do exercise 3 on page 26
- Sets the scene: “Ba is playing hide and seek with his cousin, Mr. Tuan. Use the adverbs of place to complete the speech bubbles”.
- Lets Sts work in pairs then compare with another pair
- Gives answers
- Asks Sts to read out the speech bubbles

- There are many famous film stars these days. Write about one of them you admire the most
- Asks Sts to work in groups and write the short paragraph beginning with “The film star I admire most is …..”
- Asks one of the groups to write their paragraph on the board and ask others to correct if necessary
