1.Warm up: To introduce the new lesson.
- T ask Ss to open their books and look at the picture, then answer the techer's questions.
2. Presentation.
- T introduces the characters in the dialogue: Mi, Phong, and Nick, then T tell them that the unit is not about environmental issues such as pollution, deforestation, but it is about the physical conditions in an area such as its features, traditional crafts, or places of interest.
- T supplies the new words.
3. Practice.
- T plays the recording 2 or three times.
- Ss know how to pronounce, look at the new words and say the meaning.
- Then ask Ss to practice the new words.
- Ss practice reading the dialogue in small groups.
- Ss work individually, then compare their answers with a partner, then discuss as a class. T writes quickly the correct answers on the board.
- Have Ss read the questions to make sure they understand them.
- Firstly Ss answer the Qs without reading the dialogue again, then ask them to check their answers by reading the dialogue again.
- Have Ss look at the pictures. Tell Ss that in the box are some traditional handicrafts of different regions in Viet Nam. Ss match these handicrafts with the pictures.
- Ss compare their answers in pairs before giving their answers to T.
4. Production.
- T asks Ss to work in small groups to complete the sentences with words/ phrases in 2.
- T calls on 2 students to write the answers on the board.

- Ss work in pairs to do the quiz. The pair which has the answers the fastest is invited to read out their answers. Comfirm the correct answers.
