Lesson 1: A check- up (A1)
A. OBJECTIVES
1.Knowledge :
By the end of the lesson students will be able to:
Give order / instruction.
Follow / respond to doctor’s instruction during a check- up.
Talk about one’s height, weight
Get to know new words relating to health as: medical record, check up, take one`s temperature…
Language content:
- Vocabulary: Have a medical check-up, medical record, take one’s temperature, measure, scales, height.
- Grammar : Would you open your mouth, please?
2. Skills: Listening, speaking, writing, using the language.
3. Attitude:- Ss love the English subject more.
- Be self- confident in communication.
- Have a general understanding of a medical check-up, has a positive attitude toward subject and learning English.
4. Ability development: Develop Ss’ self-learning, dealing with the problem they meet in their learning.

In the last periods, we learned about personal hygiene, teeth protection. In the following lessons, we continue discussing the topic on health: medical check-up and common diseases.
