Aim: to get students to practice listening and speaking about greeting and introducing name.
Good ss: can use all And real name to introducing & greeting.
Teaching Aids: pictures, cassettes player.

I. Warm up
* Slap the board
- Have ss call out some names in the book:pictures
*Note: Good ss are supposed to call the names and average ss will slap the name.

II. Pre - Speaking
1. Set the scene
- T shows pictures of ss who are greeting. Ss look at and descibe it.
2. Present the pattern
T models, Ss repeat and extract new target iterm.

III. While- Speaking
- T models and build an exchange
( T- ss, ss- T, ss- ss, opened pair, closed pair)
- Ss in pairs practice greeting and introducing.
*Note: Good ss are going to help weak ss.
IV. Post- Speaking
* Walk and talk
- Ss walk around class and practice with their friends using:
- T goes around and helps weak students.
- T asks some pairs to demo in front of class.
*Note: Average ss will be helped by teacher and their friends.
V. HOMEWORK

I. Warm up
Ss review greeting and introducing name by playing Chain drill.

II. Pre- writing
* Opened prediction
- In groups Ss discuss what to do.
*Listen and tick
- Ss listen twice and share their answer.
- Ss show their answers on the board in 2 groups (A, B)
- Listen again to check.
*Note: Good ss are supposed to recall the sentence they hear and average ss will say the answer.

III. While- writing
*Opened prediction
- Have ss predict 2 words then open book to check.
- T guides what to do: gap filling with given words.

IV. Post -writing
*Let’s Sing.
- T reads the song, ss repeat. Have 2 ss reread the song.
- T sing, ss listen and sing. T builds an exchange.
- Ss practice sing in groups of 4 or 5.
- Some groups demo in front of class.


V. HOMEWORK
