I. Objectives:
By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to:
- Introduce people and object
- Use `Yes / No` questions to talk about people and things at school
- Skills : L - S - R - W
* Vocabulary: teacher, student, class, classroom, desk
* Structure: This is ......../ That is.........
Is that ....../ Is this...?
II. Teaching aids : Cassette, tape , text book, ...

Contents
1. Warm up:
T: ask Ss to sing a song
Ss : sing a song
T: ask Ss to play a game (jumple words)
Ss: work in groups
2. Presentation:
T: explain the vocabulary, using pictures in C1
Ss: guess the meanings of words
Ss: practice reading the vocabulary
T: call on some ps to read
Checking vocabulary:
Ss: match the pictures with words
T: ask Ss to listen to the tape and arrange the pictures into the right order
Ss: listen to the tape and put the pictures in the right order( close their books)
T: ask Ss to listen again and correct (open their books)
3. Practice:
T: ask Ss to read C1
T: explain the structure
T: ask Ss to compare : this # that
Ss: practice the sentences in pairs
T: ask Ss to put some sentences using the structure
Ss: do as the teacher requested
T: write some sentences on the board , ask Ss to turn them into questions
4. Consolidation
T: remind the vocabulary and structure
Ss: copy and remember
5. Homework:
Learn the vocabulary by heart
