UNIT 9: THE BODY
Section B - Lesson 3: B1, B2, B3
I/ Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to
-know some nouns and adjectives about faces and colors
- Develop listening and speaking skills.
II/ Language contents:
1/ Grammar:
The present simple tense
2/ Vocabulary: ( parts of the head)
III/ Teaching aids: Textbook, pictures and cassette
IV/ Techniques: pair work, group work
V/ Procedure:
Teacher’s and student’s activities
Contents
1/Warm up:
Students lock at pictures and teacher asks about the parts of head.
2/ Presentation:
T. makes sure Ss understand parts of head through pictures.(B1)
Ss listen to the tape
Call on some Ss read parts of the head
- T uses the pictures to describe a face and explains the meaning of adjectives.
- Ss listen to the tape
- some Ss read
- Asks Ss to describe face of a person.
- Correction
- Ss practice in pairs.
-T uses a chart of colors to show and tell the name of each color.(B2)
- Ss look at the chart of colors and listen the tape.
- Some Ss read
- T asks to say colors of something’s around.
3/ Pratice:
-Ss practice in pairs ask and answer about colors (B3)
-T calls on some pairs ask and answer in front of the class
-T corrects mistakes.
4/ Production:
- Two group write nouns of parts of the head and adjectives of colors
