Time : 45 minutes
Objectives:
Attitude:
Ss have cooperative attitude with the teacher and feel interested in the lesson
Ss want to find more information about music after the lesson
Skills:
Be able to speak about their favourite types of music
Improve the Ss’ ability to speak English through making conversation and reporting
Knowledge:
Know more structures to speak about music: keep sb happy, cheer sb up. Prefer sth to sth, like to do st,..
Teaching Aids: blackboard, projector, A0 paper, handouts,…
Anticipated problems:
Some SS may be shy, so they don’t want to speak out
The lesson can be too long

WARM UP








Game : HANDS UP
Rule:
- Work in 5 groups
- Listen to 5 pieces of music one by one and guess what kind of music is
- Each group receives 5 pieces of paper writing the names of 5 different kinds of music. Before the music is played, everyone has to put their hands on their heads. Only when the T says 1, 2, 3, each group chooses quickly one piece of paper with the name of appropriate kind of music.
- Any group raises their answers before 1, 2, 3 will be out of the game.
- The group giving the fastest and correct answers will get 10 points. Which one has the highest point will be the winner
