I. Warm up:
- Ask Sts to talk about their family members in Vietnamese
II. New lesson.
New words;
Father – bố
Mother- mẹ
Sister – chi, em gái
Brother- anh, em trai
Revise new words; play what and where
1. Look, listen and repeat:
- - Have sts open their books page 6.
- Ask sts to in identify the characters of th e p picture.
-Tell them that they are going to talk about the p people in family.
- read model
-- ask ss to listen and repeat
- Who’s this? It’s my father .
- Play the recording all the way through
- Replay the recording.
- Call on one pair.
- Have the whole class practise in pairs.
2. Look and say
- Ask sts to look at the pictures a,b,c,d page 6
- Ask sts to talk about the people in the pictures.
- Ask sts to repeat each word a few times.
- Model: Set up the situation.Have sts pretent tobe family members.Point to picture a and ask Who’s this? Have sts repeat the question; then have them repeat the answer It’s my father.Ask them to repeat both the question and theanswer.Repeat the step a few times.
- Ask sts to work in pair.
- Call on some pairs to demonstrate at the front of the class.
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases to reinforce their pronunciation.
