INTRODUCE ENGLISH BOOK 6
I. Introduction:
Teacher introduces himself and gets some students to introduce themselves.
Teacher introduces the structure of the books (student book and work book), ask students some questions about the book (How many units are there?/ What should you do to prepare for each lesson? ….), tell students the way to look for new words and to prepare for the new lesson at home, when students have the tests (15-minute tests and 45-minute tests…..)
This book is for students who have been learning English since grade 3 in Primary School. It develops four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
English book 6 includes 7 parts
Part 1: Getting started: vocabulary and grammar.
Part 2: A closer look 1: practice vocabulary and phonics.
Part 3: A closer look 2: learn grammar.
Part 4: Communication: speak english.
Part 5: Skills 1:speaking and reading skills.
Part 6: Skills 2: writing and listening skills

I. The aims:
By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to listen and read for specific information about a special day then practice listening and speaking with the lexical items related to the topic "My New School".
II. Language content:
- Vocab: School lexical items
- Grammar: The simple present, the present progressive
III. Teaching aids:
Text books, Boards, chalk,...
A cassette and an audio compact disk.
III. Procedures:
Warm- up:
Greeting: Checking attendance/Asking for the teaching date/ Singing / dancing.
Chatting
- Teacher writes on the board: A special day
? Tell me "A special day" in vietnamese.

? Why is it special to you?
? What makes you remember the most?
