 Content :

 1.Warm up : ( 8’)
T uses some picture about water and electricity .


Look at the pictures.
T: Can you guess “What is it?”. You can say in Vietnamese.
S:…..
T: So, how to save energy. Today, we learn about Unit 7 : Saving energy.
* Brainstorming :( Discuss in group)
- Have sts work in groups and make a list of things the family could do to save energy at pictures in part 1 getting started ( page 57)
- Call on some sts to read the list aloud.
- Get feedback.

2.Presentation :( 12’)
- Look at the picture again and introduce the situation: This is Mrs Ha’s house. She doesn’t turn off the faucet, the lights, the TV , the stereo. Now, listen the dialogue :
Mrs Mi is talking to her neighbor, Mrs Ha about the water bill this month.

- Have sts listen the dialogue on page 57 and find out some new words.
- Explain the meaning of new words by pictures.

- Guide them to read new words groups or individual.
- T guides sts structure: making suggestions
=> Ask “Does Mrs Mi advise Mrs Ha to take showers ?” ( “What does she say?”
Model : I suggest taking showers .

- Have sts give some example about making suggestions.
- Give feedback :

3. Practice : ( 13’)
- Ask sts to practice the dialogue with a partner .
- Call some pairs to practice the dialogue .
- Ask sts to read the dialouge and answer the questions:



- Call on some sts answer before the class.



- Ask sts to read the dialogue again and decide the statements in book True or False

- Correct the false ones.



- Corrects them.



4.Production: ( 6’)
- Look at the pictures and discuss: “Making suggestion how to save energy at home”
EX: I suggest ………..




- Sts can answer before the class.
* Encourage(4’)
T asks sts the question: “Tell me the slogan about saving energy ”
- Why do we save energy?

5.Homework:( 2’)
- Learn by heart all new words and structure.
- Prepare Unit 7 –part: Speak
