I. THE FEATURES OF ENGLISH 6 BOOK (NEW).
As the English program was written in English program in elementary school.
Interested four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. In particular emphasis on developing two skills: listening, speaking. (Check regularly mainly for speaking).
At the end of the school year, students need to achieve equivalent levels A2 level of the European Framework Reference for Languages (phase 1).
II. HOW TO STUDY ENGLISH 6 BOOK (NEW).
1. At school:
Focused lectures seriously follow the teacher`s request.
Enthusiasm of expression construct all.
Practice speaking English with a teacher, with friends, take advantage of every possible opportunity to practice speaking English. Strictly speaking accent, intonation.
Understand the issues studied grammar, sentence structure. Fully documented and accurately.
2. At home:
Review the lesson as soon as lessons in class.
Based on the structure and the training corpus learned to speak English with classmates.
To complete exercises in workbooks. Read more reference books if possible.
Constantly learning, strengthen and expand their vocabulary.
Writing new words and form sentences or in their learning logs.
III. TEXTBOOK INTRODUCTION.
English 6 textbook (New) is the first of a four – level English language textbook for Vietnamese students of lower secondary schools learning English as a foreign language (EFL). It follows the systematic, cyclical and theme – based syllabus approved by the Ministry of Education and Training in October 2011, which focuses on the use of language (pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar) to develop the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
The complete learning set of English 6 textbooks (new) consists of THE STUDENTS’ BOOK and THE WORKBOOK.
THE STUDENTS’ BOOK:
English 6 textbooks (new) designed for channel and channel formation rich sound. Each unit of study is divided into 7 sections suitable for practicing the skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, phonetics and vocabulary.
Part 1: Getting started: (Giới thiệu từ vựng và ngữ pháp)
Part 2: A closer look 1: (Luyện từ vựng và ngữ âm)
Part 3: A closer look 2: (Học ngữ pháp)
Part 4: Communication: (Thực hành nói tiếng Anh)
Part 5: Skills 1: (Luyện kỹ năng đọc, nói)
Part 6: Skills 2: (Luyện kỹ năng viết, nghe)
Part 7: Looking back & Project: (Luyện tập, củng cố các kiến thức đã học)
THE WORKBOOK:
The workbook mirrors and reinforces the content of the student’s book. It offers:
+ further practice for the language and skills taught in class, and
+ four additional tests for student’s self – asseccment.
