I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Knowledge:
- To introduce something about English book 8 and how to learn.
- To review some basic structures and practice grammar in the exercises.
2. Skills:
- Practice speaking and listening.
3. Attitude:
- Like subject and love friends.

II. Introduction: (2`)
- Introduces somethings about English book 8.
Last year, you have learned English 7. Same the English 6, 7
in English 8, there are sixteen units, and each unit has four sections such as: Reading, Listening, Writing & Speaking.
After each unit, you will see language focus what you can summaine the grammar. In each term, you have two forty-five minutes tests and three tests of 15 minutes.

- Asks students to repeat some basic grammar structures.
1. The present simple tense.
- Ask students to retell present simple.
- Ask students to make examples.
- Ask students to complete some sentences.
- Call some students to go to the board and write the answer.
- Check them.
2. Present progressive tense.
- Give some examples:
I am standing
We are learning English.
She is speaking
? What tense do you know?
- Write form and using on the board.
- Asks to give more examples.
- Ask students to do exercise.
- Call on students answer.
- Correct.
3. The future simple.
- Ask students to retell form & use of future simple tense.
- Ask students to give examples.
- Ask students to do exercise.
- Call on students answer.
- Correct.
4. Past simple tense.
- Give some examples:
I watched T.V yesterday.
My mother bought a new pen for me yesterday.
? What tense do you know?
- Write form and using on the board.
- Ask students to give example.
- Ask students to complete exercise 4.
- Correct if there is any mistake.
5. Comaprision:
- Retell comparative and superative with adj and noun.
Ex: Hoa is taller than Lan
My book is the most expensive book
Lan’s father works more hours than Hoa’s
6. Modal verbs.
- Ask students to retell the form of modal verbs.
- Give examples.
- Listen and prepare.
- Retell.
- Make sentences.
- Do exercise.
- Go to the board and complete.
- Listen and correct.
- Look at the examples.
