Unit 1: 1, 2, 3 PART 1

Aims: By the end of the lesson , students:
- Access to the numbers 1,2,3 through out listening and speaking.
- Access to the first 4 letters in thealphabets : A,B,C,D
- Learn the first 8 words which contain the letters A,B,C,D
Know ledges: one, two, three
A: apple, ant
B: book, bag
C: cat, cap
D: dog, doll

2. New words
Warm up:
“ Find out your friend”
Guid the Ss how to play the game. Invite three Ss in front of the class. Each of them will receive a piece of paper had the number 1,2 or 3 from the teacher.
Invite another to find his/her friend. (S)he will take one of three pieces of paper had 1,2 or 3 naturely. (S)he will find his friend by asking “Number 2 ?”. If someone say “Yes !”, he’ll shake hand and say “Your’re my friend”. If not, he’ll say “No, I’m not” and asks another. The game will continue until all Ss find out their friends.


Presentation
1. Closed book.
Present the initial four letters: A, B, C,D.


2. Closed book.

Present 8 new words “ apple, ant, book, bag, cat, dog, doll “
Use cards or write the four letters A, B, C, D on the board.
Teach the pronunciation of four letters in turn for the whole class, group, and then invidual.
Invite Ss stand up and prounce the letters A, B, C, D in turn.



1. Use pictures, toys and real things to present vocabulary. Only 2 words once.
2. Help Ss to read the pairs of words before teaching the others.
3. After Ss read and understand the words well, write the 2 words have taught on the board for Ss coppy down. (Only English words, not Vietnamese”.
4. Teach all 8 words in turn.


Practice (Opened book.)
Help Ss deep understand the knowledge they have learnt.
1. Ask Ss to open their book after writing all 8 words into their book.
2. Ask Ss point to the letters and pictures in the book and repeat.


Production(Closed book) 1. Introduce the game “ Guessing game”
“ Guessing game” help Ss 2. The Ss mime for the others guess.

- Ss pratice listening and counting from 1 to 3 with the new words.
- Ss learn to write some basic letters.

Let’s Ss free draw in their notebook and then stand up to say the whole class.



1. Ask Ss to open their book, point to 1a and say ” Everybody, listen! Three books”. After that, point to 1b and say “ one book”.
2. Make the same in turn.
3. Ask Ss practice in pairs
4. Guid Ss the way to do the task. “ Now, please listen and check”. Saying and miming
