Lesson 1 GETTING STARTED + LISTEN AND READ
I. Objectives:
1. Educational aims : Should know about some festivals in Vietnam such as “rice – cooking festival” “Fire – making contest” “Water – fetching contest”
2. Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, students can:

1. Warm up:
-Imagine we have 5 fiends coming to Vietnam from different countries. Each person has a hobby.
- Work in groups answers the questions.
Ex: Tom likes swimming and sunbathing.
A: In your opinion, where should Tom go?
B: I think he should go to Do Son beach. It very beautiful beach and it’s not very far from Hanoi.
A: That’s good idea!
- Ask Ss some questions about the places
- Have Ss work in pairs
2. Presentation:
-Have Ss listen to the dialogue.
- Have Ss read the dialogue again and give out some new words
-Explain new words.
