I. OBJECTIVES:
Educational aims: Be interested in others, love school, family, house where they study and live
Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Greet people and identify one self.
- Develop their reading skill.
II. PREPARATIONS: pictures, textbook, wall charts, cassette
III. PROCEDURES:

1. Pre - reading (15’)
+ Activity 1:
- Set the scene
- Use the picture /11 to explain some new words

* Which school is bigger?
Her new school or her old school?
+ Activity 2:
- Give 5 sentences
- Ask Ss to guess these sentences
+ T/F statement prediction
1. Hoa is from Hue.
2. She lives with her parents in Hanoi.
3. She has a lot of friends in Hanoi.
4. She misses her friends in Hue.
5. She is happy now.
- Listen
- Listen and repeat
-Take note
- Work in pairs
- Read the text and correct the predictions
- Work in pairs
2. While - reading (15’)
+ Activity 1:
- Have Ss read the text and check the answers

- Get feedback
+ Activity 2:
- Have Ss read the text again and answer the questions

4. Homework (5’)
- Rewrite the text change “Hoa” to “I” and change the information
- Prepare next lesson: Unit 1: A4 - 5
