1. Warm up: Chatting
- Sts and teacher talk about rivers and mountains in Vietnam and around the world.
2. Presentation :
* Pre-teach vocabulary :
- flow to : chảy về, đổ về.
- start (v) : bắt đầu
- North Africa : Bắc phi
- Mediteranean Sea : Biển Địa Trung Hải
* Check vocabulary : R.O.R
* Model sentence :
We have lots of
mountains / rivers / rain
4. Pre – reading : ( C 3 )
- Ask sts to list some rivers and mountains that they have known (Red River, Mekong river, the Nile river, Planxiphang mountain, Mount Everest).
* T or F prediction :
1. Phanxipang is the highest mountain in the world.
2. The Red River is longer than the Mekong River.
3. The Nile river is the longest river in the world.
4. Phanxipang mountain is higher than Mount Everest.
5. While reading :
- Have sts read the text then check their prediction.
