Period 95 Lesson 1 : Getting started – Listen and Read T : Apr 26th 2017
I. Aim : To get Ss to differentiate facts from opinions through reading
● Objectives : Ss will be able to express their opinions about a problem
II. Materials : Posters , cassette
III.Ways of working : Individual , pair work , group work .

V. Procedure :
1. Getting started : “Brainstorming”
Write a topic on the board
Computers can help us :
+ save time
.........................
asks Ss to think of the topic and express their opinions .
collect Ss ‘opinions and write them on the board .
Suggestions :
computers help us learn interestingly .
computers help us learn more quickly.
Computer are convenient / easy for keeping / storing information.
Computers are very quick in giving answers to our questions .
2. Listen and read :
Vocabulary : ( ss can know some vocabs about computers )
printer: máy in - be under guagantee : được bảo hành
manual : sách hướng dẫn sử dụng
plug : phích cắm điện
socket : ổ cắm điện
Rub out and remember
Listen : ( ss can listen and realize some sounds being difficult to be pronounced )
T: set the scene : You are going to listen to a dialogue computer. Nam and his father , Mr Nhat are talking about
the problem of the computer they have just bought .
Ss: listen to the tape twice .
Read : ( ss can practice the dialogue and do exercise after reading)
T: asks Ss to read the dialogue carefully ,then check the boxes ( fact or opinion)
Ss: work individually.
Share their answers with their partners .
T: collect and correct the mistakes.

3.Language notes : ( ss know how to use yet / already in present perfect )
T: elicit the target language by asking Ss a questions
Ss: read the dialogue again and pick out a statement with present perfect tense.
Ex : Have you turned it on yet?
Ex: I have already done it .
T: reminds the present perfect tense with ( yet and already )
T: helps Ss recognize the difference between simple past tense and present perfect tense .
Ss: give examples
Ex: I did my homework yesterday
Ex: I have already done my homework
Ex: Have you done your homework yet ?

Brainstorming ;
